To prove to you that I’m alive and well, here’s my once yearly blog entry. It’s a long one so get ready to scroll...
Puerto Rico
Just recently came back from a trip down at PR joined by friends Nina, Dave & Ken.
Day1
Requisite sleeping-in-plane shots. What drinking and assembling an Ikea bed until 3am will do to you.

Much to my bewilderment, they still serve food on airplanes! Guess I haven’t taken any ‘international’ flights lately.

Oceanfront view from hotel grounds. Dave approves.

Toasting w/ Pina Coladas at the very same place where they were first made 50 years ago. What topped it off: extra dash of rum w/whipped cream!

Day2
El Yunque Rainforest.
You’d think these animals were in the ‘jungle’, but nope they were from the hotel.

Did not see 1 god damn animal. No birds, monkeys, snakes during our hike. What a jip.
But we played an amusing game of Where’s Ken? Can you find him in the crowd by the waterfalls?
Hang Gliding
After a long trek via windy narrow roads through a ‘pueblo’, we arrived at the grassy knoll where Nina and I were to take to our impending deaths.
Last year, if you remember, we went paragliding over the waters at Cozumel, so I’d say this was a step up on the fear factor level. One day we’ll work up enough courage to go sky-diving.
Nina gearing up:

Nina before takeoff:

And just like that, she's gone with the wind:

Me getting pumped up, doing my William Hung impersonation:

Notice my baby steps when taking off with a deathly grip on the instructor:

And poof! Gone:

Random Shots of the Day.
Insect.

Insect being tortured. *That's its tail cut off

Perverted picture taken by me.

Perverted pictures taken by Nina. Hahahhahaha

Day3
Lounging by the pool.
Kayaking at the Bioluminescent Bay in Fajardo at 10pm.
Imagine steering a boat in complete darkness only going by the glow sticks attached to the back of the boat in front of you.
See how dark it is?

Nina and I showed off our amazing kayaking skills, being last to board, but quickly jumping ahead to the front of the line. The instructor noticed our excellent steering abilities and decided to string our kayaks together to give us a personalized tour. While rowing the entire way for us, he pointed out iguanas, crabs and ducks sleeping in the mangroves as we sat back and relaxed.
Swimming w/organisms that light up when you touch the water! They said it’s just like taking a mineral bath. Too bad they don’t show up in the pictures.
Don’t be fooled by Ken's innocent smile. He’s without trunks. Dave once again approves. Nina's not amused.

Day4
After a failed attempt to visit Culebra, the small island off the mainland, home to the 2nd most beautiful beach in the world, we settled w/Luquillo Beach aka Jones Beach littered w/tents and dogs. Stupid me, thinking there’d be snorkeling on site.

Us waiting for the rain to end.

Random shot at a hotel, no photoshop used, Looked very sci-fi

Day5
The end, sad that we won’t be eating anymore mofongos.
